Printhead snags.


Probable CauseSolution
the ribbon is worn or torn. replace the ribbon cartridge.
a printhead pin is stuck. if stuck pin retracts when power is turned off, the circuit board may need replacing. If the stuck pin does not retract, the printhead may need replacing.
